Privacy Policy for Saynest Lab

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Saynest Lab (operated by Andrii Mysliuk as an individual entrepreneur, registered in Ukraine) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our AI-powered speaking practice platform (“Service”).
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following data:
- Text chat history with the AI interviewer
- Audio recordings of your spoken responses
- Session metadata (scenario, confidence level, errors, time, progress)
- Account identifiers (email address, Google login, etc.)
- Technical data (cookies, browser/device information, usage logs)
3. Purpose of Data Collection
We process this data to:
- Track your progress and adapt scenarios to your needs
- Provide you with feedback and insights
- Display your interaction history
- Improve the quality and security of the platform
We do not use your data for AI model training unless you explicitly opt in to that feature (currently not enabled).
4. Data Storage and Processing
Text data is stored in MongoDB databases hosted on Google Cloud (Europe-west1 region, Belgium). Audio recordings are stored in Google Cloud Storage and accessible via temporary links (valid up to 5 minutes). All transmissions are secured and encrypted.
5. Data Sharing
We may share your data with:
- OpenAI (for generating responses and analyzing text)
- Google Cloud (for hosting and storage)
- Paddle (for subscription billing and payment processing; we do not store your card details)
- Organization administrators (for B2B accounts, only aggregated usage data)
6. Data Retention
Completed session history (text and audio) is stored until you delete it manually. Unfinished sessions (no progress saved) are deleted automatically within a few hours. Account data is stored as long as your account remains active.
7. Your Rights
Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete individual sessions or your entire history
- Request deletion of your account
- Request restriction or portability of your data
You can manage most of these settings in your user profile or by contacting us directly.
8. Analytics and Cookies
We use Google Analytics and Hotjar to understand how our Service is used and to improve it. These tools may use cookies or local storage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. We do not currently use your data for marketing communications, but we may send important updates or announcements in the future.
9. Data Location
All data is processed and stored in Google Cloud infrastructure in the EU (Belgium). If you access the Service from outside the EU, your data may be transferred to and processed in the EU.
10. B2B & Organizational Accounts
For companies, organizations, or teams using Saynest Lab, data handling may differ (e.g., usage reports provided to administrators). Such terms will be defined in separate agreements.
